Item Overview & Historical Context For sale is a beautiful, highly collectible copy of Ian Dury’s masterpiece "New Boots and Panties!!" released on Stiff Records. [1] While the album originally debuted in late 1977, this 11-track UK Gold Vinyl pressing was rushed out in early 1978 to capitalise on Dury's soaring chart success. Because early metallic and coloured vinyl compounds were known to carry different sound quality traits compared to standard black vinyl, Stiff Records affixed a humorous green disclaimer sticker to the cover regarding the audio properties of the metallic material. Finding a copy today with both the gold hype label and this specific green sound quality warning still attached in Excellent condition is exceptionally rare.
