Description

 "If You Can't Say Something Nice" (original title "Don't Talk About Her") backed with "I've Had My Moments" both written by Roy Orbison for David Box.  Recorded in Nashville on April 5, 1962 these songs featured: David on vocals and guitar, Fred Carter on lead guitar, Bob Moore on bass, Hargus "Pig" Robbins on piano and Ray Rush, Joe Melson, Delores Dinning and Roy Orbison on backing vocals.  For whatever reason David's label, Joed had these songs released on Candix 339 out of California.  With the exception of a small mention in Billboard on August 18, 1963 the record received no promotion.  In the latter part of 1963 strings were overdubbed on "If You Can't Say Something Nice" and it was released on Joed TR 114 backed with "Sweet Sweet Day".  This is the original version, however, and it is in near MINT condition.  I have not played it and it does not appear to have ever been played.  This is the original recording and not a re-issue.
