Description

Released in 1977 on the orange RCA label here is a rare UK pressing of "Lust For Life" with a matrix I have actually never seen before:

Matrix: PL 12488 - A - 3E V A I E & PL 12488 - B - 4E ABC

Virtually ALL orange UK RCAs of this album I have seen have Utopia's Lyre symbol and the word "Idiot". Sonically this is great, in fact as great as the Utopia variant. Not entirely sure what this is, because this album wasn't successful enough for a SECOND orange UK pressing. Especially after Elvis died and RCA plants were busy reissuing his records rather than Iggy's. An alternative matrix? Because everything here is identical to the version with the "Idiot" matrix.

Condition: The vinyl is deep shiny black with very light signs of usage. Plays great: VG++.

The Garrod printed sleeve has faint ringwear, no writing or seamssplits with a promo hole in the top right corner - see pic 2. Very Good+.

A nice copy of this classic album all around.
