Description
Ike Quebec: "Bossa Nova Soul Samba"
An original Blue Note stereo release from 1962: Ear device and "VAN GELDER" in deadwax; "New York USA" on labels, "43 West 61st St." on sleeve verso and inner sleeve, liner notes in letter press. 9 cuts by Ike with Kenny Burrell, Willie Bobo, Wendell Marshall, and Garvin Masseaux. As noted above, graded VG to VG+/Ex, and the specs follow: the Ex sleeve is bright and clean with solid seams and label edge, minute wear at the corners, previous owner's name below the catalogue number verso, a touch of ring shadow. Original BN inner sleeve is clean and sound. Labels are bright and undamaged. Both sides of the VG to VG+ record have patches of needle-mark, nothing heavier. There is static under and occasionally amidst the very strong play. A very appealing copy, if not perfect.
