Description
This is part of a big auction full of rockabilly record from Checker, Decca, Imperial and several very small label. Great stuff that doesn't come up for sale often. Many of these are promos or have original sleeves and almost all all are in great shape.
Here's the info on this item:
Release: Lew Williams - Bop Bop Ba Doo Bop (Classroom Hop) / Something I Said
Format: 45 rpm 7" single
Year: 1956
Notes: First release with dark red labels. This is the first of only four singles Williams released in the 50's. Classic rockabilly sound here down to the slight echo on the vocal. B-side is a little more rock 'n roll. Good stuff.
Vinyl Condition: VG+, vinyl is in nice shape with just a few very small scattered surface marks. Looks very clean and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, plays with hardly any background noise at all. Labels are super-clean with no marks/tears/stickers, but there is a small circle of sticker residue visible. Might be on the strong side of VG, but it plays well enough that I think it sneaks in to VG+.
Sleeve Condition: VG, has some light wrinkling at the top and a few light wrinkles. No splits or tears. Has a small pencil number in the corner. Presents quite well overall, strong side of VG.
Keep an eye on my store. I will have an auction coming up featuring blues and R&B starting 1/22 and then an all jazz 7" auction featuring several Blue Notes and some rare EPs in February.
I want buying from me to be a good experience for you. I also know that condition can be very subjective, so I encourage you to see pics for exact condition details and ask questions if you need additional information. As always, the item you see is the one you will get. Please see my feedback, I think that will show that I am an accurate and fair grader and make sure my customers are happy.
I will combine shipping for anyone who wins more than one item. If you do need combined shipping, please wait for an invoice before paying.
