Description
Up for auction here is an incredibly rare Vogue Picture Record featuring Art Mooney & His Orchestra performing "I've Been Working on the Railroad" on one side (R-713-32) and "I Don't Know Why (I Just Do) (R-732-13) on the other. The record art is in almost perfect shape. There is hardly a scratch visible on either side. This record is almost impossible to find as they rarely, if ever come to auction. Referring to Popsike.com (which records results of vinyl sales at auction) two copies in the last year have sold for over $300. Vogue made their Picture records for less than a year between 1946-47 and this is one of the scarcer examples of them. The record belonged to my grandmother and stayed in a cabinet in her home for my entire life. I'm sure it was played at some point but displays minimal wear. A truly beautiful example of the rarest of the rare. I am happy to take more pictures on request and try to get them without the flash. This record is full of luster and amazing. Please feel free to email with any questions. No reserve and a very fair starting bid. Happy bidding!
