The iconic Introducing The Beatles Album-this rendition with a redesigned cover as VJ scrambled to capitalize on this album; Absolutely authentic, And this has correct label text above the spindle hole, preferred rainbow colorband, and a decent cover. Introducing the Beatles was the actual 1st US Beatles Lp. This is the 1964 Please Please Me / Ask Me Why version, people like these as they are taken from original tube mastered Parlophone recording sessions. Special Songs Pictures Stories 3/4 Gatefold type cover, VJLP 1062. Beatlemania started right here with this Lp!!! Usually these are so worn. This is a strong VG to VG+ record, it is one of the better ones I've come across in a long time. A NM copy is a minimum of 150 bucks. It will not sound a lot better than this. The vocals, guitar work and cymbals are clear, and the bass is tight.
The Lp is heavy and sounds really good. A lot of VJ Lp's were pressed well off center, but not this one! It tracks great. It has inconsequential light marks only, this is much nicer than most of what's out there. Most of these are really beat (it's much better than most 47 yr old albums). Beautiful labels. Please see pics. A very nice piece, performed great on my turntable (Luxman, Ortofon Super OM 40 cartridge, Carver power amp, Bose 901's-this sounds really good.) Enjoy the Beatles for a bargain price, and in the preferred original analog pressings - if you grew up in the US in the 60's or 70's you know the difference.
