Item is the 33 LP entitled " Songs, Pictures And Stories Of The Fabulous BEATLES on the VEE-JAY label. Album No. is VJ 1092 while the correct Vinyl Label No. is VJLP 1062 ( Vinyl Label entitled " Introducing The Beatles" ) Audio is Excellent. Cuts included are : Please Please Me, Do You Want To Know A Secret, Twist And Shout, I Saw Her Standing There, Misery, Anna, Chains, Boys, Ask Me Why, Baby It's You, A Taste Of Honey, and There's A Place. None of the below imperfections distract from the overall enjoyment of this record. Great Album!
"the tremendous success of the Beatles in 1964 led to numerous repackagings of their material by the independent labels that had taken a chance on them early on when Capitol, their nominal American label, initially passed on its option in 1963. While it still controlled American rights to the Beatles' first album, Please Please Me, which it had issued in abridged form as Introducing The Beatles in 1963, Vee Jay now released a slightly different abridgement under the title Songs, Pictures and Stories of the Fabulous Beatles. ("Ask Me Why" and "Please Please Me" were restored, and "Love Me Do" and "P.S. I Love You" deleted). This was the same version they had released only 11 days earlier as one-half of The Beatles Vs.
