Description

The Beatles    "Introducing The Beatles"

This is a US vinyl pressing on Vee Jay LP 1062 from 1964.     It is the Mono pressing with the Version 2 songs : 'Ask Me Why' and 'Please Please Me'.      The correct song titles are in columns on the back cover. 

This is an original cover and record.    The front cover has George's shadow on the left.    There is printing on the left spine : Vee Jay, Introducing The Beatles, Vee Jay, and LP 1062'.      Inside the cover there are 1/4 inch flaps on the top and the bottom.     On the back cover the song 'Please, Please Me' has a comma between the 'Please's'.    The cover is VJ 1062 (2).MC1B in the Perry Cox and Frank Daniels Beatles price guide.

The labels are all black, with silver lettering.    The logo is 'VJ' above Vee-Jay Records.   The sides are noted 'Side 1' and 'Side 2'.     The trail off area is 7/8 inch wide.      The album title and artist name are above the center hole.      The labels list the correct version 2 song titles.    The record is VJ 1062.MR4B.

The matrix numbers are hand etched.   Side 1 :  triangle 6307,  MR in a circle,  63-3402.      Side 2 :  triangle 6307 X,    MR in a circle,  63-3403.      The MR in a circle look double stamped.

This is a genuine cover and record from 1964.   

The songs are : I Saw Her Standing There, Misery, Anna, Chains, Boys, Ask Me Why, Please Please Me, Baby It;s You, Do You Want To Know A Secret, A Taste Of Honey, There's A Place, and Twist And Shout.    

Overall Condition is : Cover is M- /  Record is VG+

The cover is Mint minus with no ring wear, no writing , and no seam splits.   It has the slightest wear possible.     The vinyl looks VG+ and it plays VG+.   There are very light handling marks.        The labels are clean with two spindle marks on side 1 and a bunch of spindle marks on side 2.        The record comes in a Vee Jay inner sleeve, which is near mint.

I started collecting records in 1966.     I started selling in Goldmine in 1985.      I now sell records at all Northwest record conventions : Portland, Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia, Eugene, Grants Pass, and Canby.       And at Crossroads Music in Portland, Oregon.     My records are from a no smoking and no pets home.  

Packaging :

I take great care on every package and I do each one personally.     I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard.     Each piece is 1/2 inch thick, triple strength industrial cardboard.       Together they are very strong and unbendable.   ( Even the postmen comment on how strong this cardboard is ! )       I always remove the record from the cover and seal them in a clear plastic sleeve.     The package will be marked in red : "Fragile Record" on both sides. 

Postage :  Weight : 1 pound 9 ounces

You have to pay for the postage.     I pre-weigh every record, so that you pay the exact amount the post office charges.   There are no handling charges.     This record will weigh 25 ounces ( 1 pound, 9 ounces ) when ready to ship.   US bidders can figure out your own postage costs for US Priority or Media Mail.    All US winners will get shipping through Paypal and an automatic email with the tracking number.      Overseas winners will get shipping by First Class Mail International.    You will get an automatic email with the customs/tracking number.     I will send your record as soon as you pay ( same day if before 2 PM and next day if after 2 PM : Monday thru Saturday)   I will combine shipping if you win more than one record.      If you do win more than one record, please wait for me to send you an invoice for all of your records in one package.
