Here is "Introducing The Beatles" by The Beatles on Vee Jay Records (SR-1062, 1964). Date of pressing 1-24-64 etched in trail-off area.

The jacket:
1. a 1/4" overlap of cardboard at the top and bottom inside cover.
2. semi-gloss paper stock on front & back.
3. George's shadow on the right edge.
4. the "STEREOPHONIC" banner at the top.
5. track listing in two columns on back, with "Please Please Me" and "Ask Me Why".
6. No colored positioning dots under the back cover.

The record:
1. plays in Stereo with nice separation.
2. semi-gloss colorband labels with the Vee Jay brackets logo and smooth, gradual changes in color, including green.
3. "THE BEATLES" and "INTRODUCING THE BEATLES" above the spindle hole.
4. "STEREO" printed at the 12 o'clock position.
5. "Microgroove" and "Long Playing" at the three & nine o'clock positions.
6. the trail-off area (between the last track and the label) is less than one inch.
7. 63-3402/63-3403, -1, S, 1-24-64 and URJ etched in the trail-off areas.
8. a series of dots in the trail-off areas from a stamper that should read "Audio Matrix", according to "http://thebeatles-collection.com/wordpress/category/vee-jay-lp/".

I played the entire record and it played through fine with no skips and sounded good overall, with some faint to light noise, mostly on side-2, that can be easily tolerated or ignored.

Jacket: Good (a 1/2" bottom-right seam split, corner dings, some paper-loss at three corners, some light staining on back, some rub wear).
Vinyl: Good (more than a few light scratch marks, none that I could feel and with the majority on side-2).
Labels: Good.
Inner sleeve: Good, but yellowed (three seam splits and a few small edge tears).

It's always advisable to clean a record before playing it in order to remove any dust/dirt build-up that might have occurred over the years sitting in the storage room.


Records:
Mint: Relatively speaking, as perfect as humanly possible (an LP, sleeve, jacket and any inserts still sealed in shrink-wrap are assumed to be Mint).

Excellent (Near Mint): At first glance shows no obvious signs of wear or mis-handling. May show a couple of faint surface marks that should not affect sound quality.

Very Good: May show some minor wear and/or up to several minor surface marks that should not affect sound quality. Labels may have light locating marks at the spindle hole, but no writing.

Good: May have scratches and or scuff marks that may or may not be felt. Probably has background noise, but should be easily tolerated.

Jacket & sleeve:
Excellent (Near Mint): May show signs of minor wear. No seam splits, paper loss, writing, moisture damage or tears.

Very Good: May show some light wear (rub, shelf, ring, scratches) and/or some light edge-creases, but no writing, seam splits, paper loss, moisture damage or tears. May have a "cut-out indicator" (notch, drill-hole, saw-cut, corner-clip), which has nothing to do with the quality or condition of the record. It was simply the way a company, for a variety of reasons, marked the album for sale at a reduced price.

Good: Still solid. May show some moderate wear (rub, shelf, ring, scratches), one or more small tears and/or seam splits, minimal paper loss (price tag removal?), creases and/or a bit of light soiling. May be some writing and/or light moisture damage, but no deep gouges, deep scratches, etc.
