Description

Ok,, so for the most counterfeited  record of ALL TIME....it's best that we start by proving IT ISN'T A FAKE!
What are the tests you can run?
the HONEY test --  Is the print quality on the word 'HONEY' on the rear of the cover fully intact [not impaired]. Print quality is excellent -- it does not show the abberrations you find on fakes...
George Shadow ---- Is on the front cover over on the right side --- THAT IS CORRECT.
Multi Colour label --- Is ALL correct with GREEN at 7 o'clock....ALL GOOD.
12 Tracks  ---  WHEN 1st released in the US..ITB only ever had 12 ...due to saving $$$ on Mechanical Copyright.
THE BEATLES BAND NAME --- MUST SHOW ABOVE THE SPINDLE HOLE...TICK!
DECENT PRESSING WEIGHT ----- COUTERFEITTS tend to be much flimsier.
ALL GOOD...WE ARE PASSING ALL TESTS with flying colours.

Genuine EARLY'64 Veejay pressing..... Delta symbol in deadwax implies this is a Monarch pressing.. THIS IS THE RECONFIGURED TRACK LISTING -- after Capitol kicked their ass. PRESUMABLY FROM --  SUMMER '64. BY OCTOBER'64 Capitol succeeded in banning VEEJAY from any and all further releases of this title.
Vinyl (Vg+) In very nice condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks, one or two just starting to get feelable -- nothing heavy or nasty. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an at least VERYGOOD+ level of playback with deviation in a couple of spots per side. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. When on song signal path is pretty much untainted....I am mostly getting clean feed. Doesn't sound that much different from a UK Mono --- which is a GOOD sign.!!! Expect a couple of isolated clicks in one spot.....I picked out 6-7 ticks in CHAINS... But basically this is definitely an accomplished player. Graded at VG+ conservatively. You could easily make the case for near excellent for large parts....Minimal back ground at all. Good quality sound -- I was a little bit taken a'back!
Cover (Vg+) A truly difficult find in top condition. I would say this is in pretty decent condition...better than many. CLEAN front slightest wear at foot. one blemish to left of Ringo's head. the REAR is pretty clean and not overly aged. One stain/blemish top left which is fairly innocuous... but pretty good I would say. Not much edge wear for a '63 title. Spine 80% intact and not much wear elsewhere. Overall excellent rigidity and no hidden problems at all.
Inner (Vg+)  Minimal ageing and small split internally repaired.
