One of the versions to hit the streets first in the U.S.!

Common Characteristics found on Original Covers:

  • Covers-front and back-must have slicks that are either glossy orsemi-glossy.
  • Printing on covers must be of high quality and professional looking.
  • Back cover lists contents in two columns
  • Stereo copies must meet one of the following conditions: 1. Back cover pictures 25 color photos of other Vee-Jay albums. Thiscopy is commonly known as the "Ad Back" cover. 2. Back cover is totally blank; a completely white slick with no printwhatsoever. 3. Back cover lists content in two columns, almost always containingPlease Please Me and Ask Me Why. Only a couple of originalcopies have been verified listing Love Me Do / P.S. I LoveYou.
Common Characteristics found on Original Discs:

  • Labels have "THE BEATLES" and the title "INTRODUCING THEBEATLES" above the center hole.
  • Only gloss or semi-gloss rainbow/colorband labels are used onoriginals.
  • All original labels have bright, sharp silver print.
  • The vinyl trail-off -the gap between the end of the last track and theedge of the label usually measures from 7/8" to 1" wide, but nevergreater.
  • The rainbow/colorband that circles the perimeter of an original label isof high resolution, with smooth, gradual changes in color.
  • The vinyl trail-off area on over 90% of all originals has one or more ofthe following mechanical Stampings: 1. The term "AudioMatrix." 2. The letters "MR" inside of a circle. 3. The letters "APP" in italics. Among originals, only thosemade in Santa Monica lack machine Stampings. Regardless, these still have theaforementioned bright silver print and glossy labels. To date, we have neverseen a counterfeit copy with machine stamping in the trail-off area.
  • We have never found a counterfeit with the word "STEREO"printed on the label.
  • Any copy with "STEREO" printed on the label is more thanlikely an original.
  • All originals with black labels that do not have the rainbow colorbandare printed on a flat-not glossy-paper stock.
Everything checks out that this is a 100% genuine cover and disc!

Matrix:
Side 1: AudioMatrix and MR in a circle machine stamp/63-3402 etching/Triangle symbol followed by 5702 etching/Capital A & a small capital B etching/6-29-63 etching
Side 2: MR in a circle machine stamp/63-3402 etching/Triangle followed by 5702-X etching/Sm etching

Condition: Visual/Play-graded (Goldmine grading system)

Vinyl: VJ 1062 (1).MR2
Side 1: VG-/VG- A few small scratches and light groove wear in couple of areas.
Light minor surface noise only noticeable between tracks.
"Misery" has a couple of light tics underneath the music for about 2 revolutions.
"Anna" has some light crackle underneath the music up until the 1st chorus.
"Boys" has a few light noticeable tics that does not overpower the music for about 4 or 5 revolutions.
Side 2: VG/VG+ A few very small light scratches that do not affect play and some minor groove wear in couple of areas. Plays great with just some light minor surface noise only noticeable between tracks.
Labels are clean with some spindle markings on both sides.
Still very enjoyable to listen to. So much so that I almost didn't want to sell when I was play-grading it.
And it's in full booming mono which sounds amazing.

Sleeve: VJ 1062 (1).MC3
VG
Conservatively I give the sleeve a VG because there is a small tear on the back corner (see pic). Otherwise I would give it a VG+ because it has clean seams and spine with very minor edge and ringwear.
Also comes with the rare original inner sleeve picturing other Vee Jay titles (pictured) Other side has "The Great Gospel Artists Are On [VJ]" Has split about 2/3 down one side.

Track listing:
I Saw Her Standing There
Misery
Anna
Chains
Boys
Love Me Do
P.S. I Love You
Baby It's You
Do You Want To Know A Secret?
A Taste Of Honey
There's A Place
Twist And Shout

I will also give it another cleaning on my Nitty Gritty 1.0 record cleaning machine before I ship it.
