Description
This is intended for Iron Maiden collectors and not those with a passing interest in
playing the single. To be honest I don’t know how to value this (and given that I had / have
a large Iron Maiden collection I thought if anyone knows the value I would be ideally
placed).
A little bit about the background to this. I was at Donington in 1988 and there were
over a hundred thousand IM fans there (that is how big Iron Maiden were). Due to safety
concerns, Iron Maiden were behind the campaign to reduce numbers. For 1992 the limit
was set at 72,500 and I started to panic that I would not get a ticket. So when I
saw the UK publicity by Judy Totton and the offer of an early chance to grab the new
single I jumped at it. I paid the sum of £5 for it.
Now as a matter of necessity, I am having to sell my vinyl, so hope that an Iron Maiden
fan buys this little piece of Iron Maiden and UK rock history.
Please note I will only sell to UK buyers with a UK postal address.
The Tracks on this single are
Side A
Be Quick or be Dead
Side B
Nodding Donkey Blues
Space Station No. 5
Note: as this was a promotion single it does not have an outer sleeve. I will include
the items which came with it, namely the picture, the two page letter from Judy Totten
Publicity for Donington and a single page on red paper about the single.
Please see the pictures.
The note states “This release is embargoed until Wednesday March 26th."
.
If you have any questions regarding this item, I would be delighted to answer them,
if I can.
