Description

*I am currently selling a collection of Heavy Metal and rock LPs, predominantly from the late 70’s to the early 90’s but with the odd outlier thrown in. All well looked after and some real rarities. I combine shipping and always remove the vinyl from the sleeve before packing and posting. Where anything other than a generic white inner is present, the vinyl is always placed in a brand new white inner to preserve the original. Brand new ‘clear glass’ plastic sleeves are added to all LPs. I describe items accurately as I know how disappointing it is to receive a much anticipated record where flaws have been glossed over or gone unmentioned. I try to listen to each record before describing it but if I don’t have time I will listen to selected parts to gauge the level of background noise and I will always listen to any passages where there are surface marks to judge the impact these have. I always give positive feedback after payment so the customer is able to give feedback purely judged on the service once they have received the item. If you are unhappy in any way I will refund with no questions asked. Thank you for your interest in this listing and please check out my other records.*

This listing:

Iron Maiden

The Number of the Beast

EMI EMC 3400

Brilliantly preserved original 1982 pressing with very earliest A2 B2 matrix codes.

A much sought after record in this condition.

The sleeve is in near Mint condition - vibrant and sharp with very little evidence of handling or storage.

The inner is also clean and bright with no splits or handling evidence. There is some bleeding of the lyrics in places which is a production fault rather than damage and this inner is easily Excellent.

The vinyl is also Excellent. It retains a great overall sheen and the only marks are very light, only visible under close scrutiny and don’t impact the playback. The audio is robust and a pleasure to listen to. There is some background static in quieter parts - intro to the title track and ‘The Prisoner’ for example, but overall the audio is excellent.

Included is the double sided merchandise sheet in excellent condition.

A great opportunity to get hold of a copy of this record in it’s earliest incarnation - complete and in fantastic condition.

Here is the pressing info:

Recorded and mixed at Battery Studios, London.

This issue includes a hard card die cut inner sleeve with rounded corner, some copies (including this one) also have a fan club insert

? 1982 Original Sound Recordings made by EMI Records Ltd.

"22, Acacia Avenue" is named "22 Acacia Avenue" (the continuing saga of Charlotte the Harlot) on the inner sleeve
