Vinyl Surfaces - EX+

Audio Test - EX+ to NM

  • Listened to in full on Audio Technica deck through  Studio montitors
  • Gaps between tracks/very quiet parts of songs have a TINY bit of background noise - but this album packs the songs so tightly the gaps are about 1/2 to 1 second. Once the songs start these cannot be heard unless on a really quiet part or on the fade-outs. Even then there is very little noticeable background noise.
  • One or 2 tracks have the odd very short 'click', but there are only a couple on the whole album
  • Overall the songs sound bright and clear and can be enjoyed without any major background noise and no noticeable loss of sound quality.
  • The original Analogue Mix also sounds fantastic, with great definition. Beats even the original masters of the CD version for feeling 'real' :)

Visual Inspection/Bright Light: EX+

  • Graded under the same VERY bright spotlights used to take the pictures of the record
  • Small-to-moderate number of very light, small hairline marks on each side when looking carefully - the kind of marks left by fairly light use, very careful handling/storage and cleaning with proper record-care cloths.
  • No deep scratches, no major marks.

Visual Inspection - Bright Daylight: Looks Nr Mint.

Vinyl Labels - EX

• Both labels excellent

• No mould, scratches or marks.

• Colours and printed text all perfect

• Tiny amount of wear on spindle holes

Outer Sleeve - NM

• Nice sheen all round, no colour fading, no creases and only a few very light indentation marks that have not resulted in loss of colour or the sheen/coating being damaged.

• TINY (I mean millimetres) bit of wear on corners

• TINY (again, I mean millimetres) bit of wear on spine, all writing is perfectly visible and hardly any 'gatefo-crease'

Inner Gatefold - NM

• No colour fading, no creases or marks.

• All lyrics perfectly visible and no colour fading

• Inner spine excellent with only a TINY bit of creasing if you get the magnifying glass out...!

Original Die Cut Inner sleeve - VG+

• A few marks and creases and also a couple of of TINY hairline creases, otherwise near mint.  No colour fading, no creases or major marks.

Vinyl Care/Preparation

• I hand-clean every vinyl listed using L'Arc Du Son cleaning solution. This removes old grease, dust etc. to improve the playback quality. This does sometimes leave residue marks, but these don't affect play.

• Once cleaned, I 'buff' the Vinyl using a very soft cleaning-cloth, then place it into an anti-static black sleeve. This sleeve is supplied with the Vinyl you buy.

•  I also carefully clean and dry the Vinyl outer sleeves to remove old finger marks, dirt and dust. Once done the sleeves are placed into a PVC sleeve to keep them nice and clean, they are shipped with the plastic sleeve.

•  Vinyls are then listened to end-to-end before grading, in order to make sure they don't skip etc. BEWARE VISUAL-ONLY GRADINGS...some Vinyls that look Near Mint to the eye have skips, others that look marked play near-perfectly. I've learned that you can't grade a Vinyl without listening to it :)

•  Finally, I take lots of pics and rip the Vinyl to 256kbps MP3 (budget deck only at the moment) and make a sample video, uploaded to YouTube to let you hear the quality of the vinyl surfaces and see HD large pictures of the item.

•  All of the above is done to help buyers be sure of what they are getting before they spend hard-earned money! For this reason, I am not the cheapest on eBay and don't want to be. All offers are considered but please don't expect me to give them away :)

Shipping & Payment

• Well packaged in stiff, thick card mailer + Stiffeners for protection.

• Vinyl will be removed from inner and securely packed during shipping to prevent splits.

• I combine shipping cost for multiple purchases - please contact me to let me know before paying and I will give you a quote.

Please note eBay & Paypal charge me 15% fees on shipping cost. I have to pass this on, so the shipping label will have a slightly lower value than you paid..sorry but I can't do anything about this.
