Description
Original 1979 first pressing of Iron Maiden's 'The Soundhouse Tapes' (ROK 1)
The 7" vinyl record has the original red Rock Hard Record labels and is in excellent condition. (only actually played 2-3 times!)
it comes with the collectible Christmas marketing insert advertising the picture sleeve and other merchandise.
the sleeve is the original plain white paper sleeve, not the picture sleeve.
I bought this record at the band's gig at the Marquee Club in London in 1979.
The Soundhouse Tapes is the debut EP by Iron Maiden, and features the first recordings by the band. Released on 9 November 1979, it features three songs taken from the demo tape recorded at Spaceward Studios on 30 and 31 December 1978. The three tracks ("Iron Maiden", "Invasion" and "Prowler") appear in a rougher form than they would on the band's eponymous debut studio album and subsequent singles, as they were all recorded in one session
