⚡ Iron Maiden – The Trooper / Cross Eyed Mary (Shaped Picture Disc)

EMI • Cat. No. EMIP 5397 • 1983 • 7" • 45 RPM • Stereo • UK Shaped Picture Disc

Why this copy matters (collector + listener appeal)

“The Trooper” isn’t just a single — it’s one of Iron Maiden’s most iconic songs and a cornerstone of 80s heavy metal.
What makes this edition especially desirable is the format: an original UK shaped picture disc from 1983.
These are sought after because they’re instantly display-worthy, unmistakably Maiden, and far harder to find in clean condition than standard 7" releases.

The artwork is a huge part of the legend — fans actively chase pieces connected to Derek Riggs’ iconic visual universe.
This record works perfectly as both: a playable collectible and a standout display item for a serious Maiden shelf.
