Description
Beautiful original copy from 1959 by the famous Isley Brothers on the Teenage Record Co. label #1004. Great example of Doo-Wop on the up-tempo "Cow" side, with hand claps and a blistering sax solo. The vocals remind me of Frankie Lyman & the Teenagers with the high-pitched lead vocals. Side 2 "Angels cried" is a great Doo-Wop ballad, great backing vocals, and once again that beautiful high falsetto lead vocal, also reminding one of the great Frankie Lymon. Note: Side 1 on the label says: "Blues vocal featuring Ronald Isley", Side 2 reads; "Blues Ballad featuring Ronald Isley". (See Pics) Cover: Ex., plain generic green sleeve like the ones used at a radio station. Record: VG+, plays even better with no skips, no repeats, no hiss. Label: VG, tiny loss of label on the "Cow" side 1, small sticker on that same side (See Pics).
