The Caitiff Choir / Forever Scorned brings together two essential releases from Buffalo, New York metalcore band It Dies Today. The Caitiff Choir, originally released in 2004, is the band's landmark debut full-length, combining aggressive metalcore with melodic guitar work, heavy breakdowns, and intense vocals. The album features fan favorites including “A Threnody for Modern Romance,” “Severed Ties Yield Severed Heads,” “Freak Gasoline Fight Accident,” and “The Caitiff Choir: Defeatism.”
Also included is Forever Scorned, the band's 2002 debut EP, featuring six tracks including “Sentiments of You,” “Bridges Left Burning,” “Forever Scorned,” and “Blood Stained Bed Sheet Burden.” Together, the two releases document the band's early development and capture It Dies Today's aggressive early-2000s metalcore sound.
This 2-LP vinyl edition was released by Trustkill Records in 2008 and was limited to 1,046 copies, making it an especially desirable release for It Dies Today and early-2000s metalcore collectors.
