La bellissima estate
here is the soundtrack lp from the 1974 movie with stars such as Senta Berger and John Richardson.

Even among collectors of Italian soundtracks, this album is virtually unknown, due to the fact that it's not a giallo or police movie nor was it done by one of those big names like Morricone, Piccioni, Umiliani etc. However, if you are a fan of Italian soundtracks and don't own this music, you miss something. The music is in the same vein like Michelini's in-demand score for the "Anna quel particulare piacere" from the same year, so I'm not sure if Michelini really did "conduct-only" for "La bellissima estate". Officially credited as the composer is Alberto Pomeranz, originally a piano player who worked for Ennio Morricone on "Il deserto dei tartari", for instance.
Even though the movie is virtally unknown, a soundtrack album came out as a Promo-only in Italy on the legendary RCA SP series (impossible to get) - and in Japan with a different cover. On auction is this Japanese LP issued in 1975 on
RCA 5215
Cover and record are in beautiful NM condition.
