Description
Super rare original 1958 Japanese rockabilly one of the best and most well known examples of female Japanese rockabilly. This EP shows up nowhere on any database or sold listings. Has to be super rare or perhaps a rare export only release.
Has a killer brass heavy cover of Be-Bop-A-Lula that’s a hybrid between 50s R&B and Rockabilly.
The other two songs are ballads. Nothing of note there. It is housed in a bag sleeve that is the sandwich style with plastic on the inside.
RECORD HAS BEEN VIP CLEANED SEVERAL TIMES.
CONDITION: As a fellow collector of old 45s like this I say this grades at VG+ but a lower level VG+ due to some light surface marks and small light hairlines. Still hanging onto a VG+. I VPI cleaned several times and play tested it all the way through on both sides. Plays really well. The two rockers are loud and clear. The ballads have a slight surface noise that we hear on most of our 45s this old in good condition, nothing offensive to the ear. Could be the way it was pressed in post war Japan in 1958? The ballads are not what you would want this record for anyhow. The small hairlines don’t produce loud pops of skips. I play tested this on my techniques turntable with a good stylus.
COVER IS A SOLID VG++ NO SPLITTING OR CREASES.
