Stones Throw feiert 20 Jahre J. Dillas Donuts mit einer brandneuen Audiophile-Jubiläumsedition.

Die Donuts Audiophile Edition wurde bei Bernie Grundman geschnitten und bei Fidelity Record Pressing produziert – 2 LPs, 180 g Vinyl, 45 U/min. Deluxe-Kunstdruck im Stoughton-Cover.

Donuts begann ganz einfach – mit der Idee, aus einem guten Demoband ein komplettes Album zu machen. Es sollte eines der prägendsten Werke in J. Dillas Leben werden. Fertiggestellt in dem Jahr, das Dilla im Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles verbrachte, und veröffentlicht an seinem Geburtstag, dem 7. Februar 2006, erlangte Donuts besondere Bedeutung, als er drei Tage später, am 10. Februar, starb.
