JAC MURPHY TRIO - Sounds of the Villager - RARE PRIVATE JAZZ Funk LISTEN texas
Sounds of the Villager - vanity pressing SV1
COVER = VG++ RECORD = VG+
Fantastic and utterly obscure smokey, magical jazz record from Dallas, Texas circa 1968. A loungy affair and just a killer, smoky jam from start to finish. A wild, raga'ed out cover of Sounds of Silence and fantastic spins on Sunny, Love is Blue, Going Out of My Head and more. Cover is clean with some minor wear. Disc is clean with some occasional clicks here and there ... probably a pressing issue. Otherwise a great slice of jazz magic from an obscure corner of time.
Listen to a partial clip of Sounds of Silence and you'll get the idea.

GRADING
SS Still Sealed - in original, unopened shrink, unplayed
NM- Mint Minus - a near perfect, probably unplayed record
VG++ Like new condition with only superficial signs of use that dont affect play. Might have a subtle click here and there. Clear sound dominates.
VG+ A few hairline marks, might have some minor background noise, but overall strong, clear sound
VG Very Good - a used, reasonable copy. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages. Still plays strong
VG- Very Good Minus - significant wear and marks and usually quite noticeable surface noise.
G+ Good Plus. Obvious use, but no skips unless otherwise noted. Lots of noise. I rarely sell records in this condition
