Things We Like is an instrumental jazz album by Scottish musician Jack Bruce.
The album was Bruce's second solo album to be released (in late 1970 in the U.K.; early 1971 in the U.S.) but first to be recorded, in August 1968, while he was still a member of the rock power trio Cream.
Things We Like is Bruce's only instrumental album, mostly containing tunes that Bruce claims to have composed in 1955, when he was twelve years of age. The album also prominently features Bruce's technique on the double bass, an instrument he rarely otherwise recorded with.
Whereas most of Bruce's recorded work prior to this album was in the rock or blues music genres, Things We Like is jazz-flavoured, in particular drawing from 1950s bebop and 1960s free jazz influences.
These LPs we have rated as some of the best condition you will ever find. They have come from a private family collector, many of the LPs for sale from this collection have only ever been a handful of times, each. Each album when played, was catalogued; when it was played, which side and how often.
They have NOT been touched or played since 1980. Stored upright in special LP storage cases. Stored in a heated home nearly 40 years. There will of course be the signs of natural ageing of the covers and inner sleeves but the records themselves will be virtually mark free vinyl.
The maybe occasional marks; such as Spindle marks, or wear on some spines of the outer sleeve. Some inner sleeves have a small amount of written pen detail as part of the cataloging process made by the original owner/collector. Please understand & respect this.
Vinyl Condition: Very Good+ Sleeve: Very Good+ with minor aged related wear signs along edges.
