LISTEN TO THIS BELOW IF YOU DON'T KNOW IT! Up for grabs here is one of the best ever LPs recorded in Sweden in superb condition on its original first press issue.

Jack Downing was an american singer that moved to Sweden in the mid-60's and formed the group The Other Side (together with Boz Scaggs who also lived in Sweden at the time!) of "Out My Light" fame. In 1970 when this LP was released he had switched gears and turned into a more country rock direction, but this is not your "average" country rock. This is heavy, intense stuff and Jack is backed by swedish group The Outsiders (of "Inside Of Me") on this album. Kris Kristofferson and Zal Yanovsky also appear on backing vocals.

There are a bunch of covers on this LP, all of which are good, but it is on the self penned tunes that Downing really excels. "Pretty Miss Mike" (first in the soundclip) is a pummeling, percussive beast, "A Force I Cannot Name" is brooding, dark stuff and "The Kind Of Words" is a simply beautiful ballad.
