Description
Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:
TITLE & ARTIST: "The Complete Capitol Fifties Jack Teagarden Sessions" - by Jack Teagarden on the Mosaic Record label (MQ6-168), in beautiful original monaural sound, issued circa 1996 in a limited edition of 5,000 albums. This is number 1558 of that edition. CONDITION: BOX - EX(Box is in superb condition with some light spine wear, especially near the top of the spine, owing to several moves since I purchased it - please see actual box set in photos); VINYL - Near Mint(Vinyl (All six records) are glowing and clean, ready to bring you the best vintage Teagarden jazz music you've ever heard - visually graded under special daylight balanced spotlight).
SPECIAL FEATURES: This collection is almost beyond description. It's a tribute to Mosaic Records as much as anybody. One of the finest early jazz reissue labels, Mosaic has taken 75 classic tunes from throughout the Capitol years of Jack Teagarden, mastered them beautifully (no sleazy enhanced stereo here), and compiled them on SIX glowing vinyl records in original MONO deep-groove pressings. Then they added an extensive 18-page booklet, itself in near mint condition and bearing the edition number 1,588 of 5,000. Any further discussion would be damning with faint praise. Here's the low down: Don't miss this jewel.

OUR GRADING SYSTEM: We grade visually, and we are happy to listen to any LP and give you an aural grade as well. SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
