Description
Unleashed in 1973 this original ultra-rare slice of Canadian heavy-prog is a hammond driven gem with cool psych influences galore. Facts about this band has been riddled with misinformation since the internet began. On many "info pages" band members names are not even listed and songwriters are attributed to the wrong songs. This copy was attained thru a friend of the bass player decades ago on it's release and I can say for certain he did exist!! Released on Art Snider's Periwinkle Records Label in Canada 1973 they were one of the first acts to record and release on his new label and were distributed primarily in the Toronto region so there were never many of these to go around. Some felt that the songs were "too long" for radio so no singles were ever released. Produced by Dan Goldberg & Bob Stright in the Spring of 1973. Jackal was formed in 1969 by the Kellesis brothers [Chris and James] and band members also consisted of Steve Hayward, and Dave Bernard, drummer Lois Mutton, and Charlie Shannon on vocals. One of the rarest Canadian records in my collection, grab this original vinyl while you can.
