Description
Up for auction is a UK copy of Jackie Lomax’s New Day, backed with Fall Inside Your Eyes, released in 1969 on Apple cat no APPLE 11. The flip is produced by George Harrison. One of the rarest UK 45s to be issued on the Beatles label, this one doesn’t show up too often. Condition: vinyl is fairly problem-free, only a few very minor marks. The A-side label has “stereo”written on it, together with an “A” to designate which side to play (it’s an ex-radio station copy); the b-side label has a stamp from the radio station (Harold Wood Hospital Radio!!). It looks like the push-out centre has been removed & re-glued at some point, but it’s definitely the original centre. Would be a VG+ were it not for the labels, call it VG. My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings.
