RARE 1st PRESS MONO Jackie McLean LP! Classic album featuring some of the greatest jazz musicians of all time: Hank Mobley, Mal Waldron, Art Taylor, Donald Byrd, and Doug Watkins. Many critics think 4 5 and 6 is McLeans finest record. The interplay between Jackie and Mal Waldron is one of the highlights of Prestige Jazz from the 50s. ~Original deep groove pressing on black and yellow 'fireworks' Prestige labels~ ~'446 W. 50th St. NYC' address on label'~ ~Hand-etched 'RVG' in dead wax (both sides)~ ~Thick vinyl~
CONDITION: Cover: VG++. Cover shines with original gloss. Bending to upper left corner. Light bumping to corners. No seam splits! Light shelf wear to back. Labels: VG++. A few light spindle marks. Vinyl: Playback: Plays VG++ with brilliant audiophile monophonic sound for most of this LP. During some quiet sections faint surface noise and/or ticks are audible. Visual: Some scratches (mostly superficial) are visible on vinyl so visually closer to VG+.
