Jacket: VG+
SOLID and NICE! HEAVY CARDBOARD LAMINATE seams fine and edges nice NO TEARS, a little wear on the corners, name written lightly in pen on the back above the title.
One of the RAREST McLean titles, (mint copies have gone for as much as $900) Heavy players swing lightly on this great session. Amazing lineup with Hank Mobley, Donald Byrd, Mal Waldron, Doug Watkins, Art Taylor. A SOLID 1st PRESS GREAT LISTENING COPY.
I am currently listing a batch of very rare and highly sought jazz titles – all 1st presses, most with a moderate amount or wear. I have taken great pains to play grade each record all the way through so you know exactly what you’re bidding on. What always amazes me about these heavy, mono, deep groove pressings is how well they sound despite having some wear, they just don’t make them like this anymore! In my opinion, these VG records can outplay a scuffy VG+ record from the 70’s or 80’s, especially with their impossible to duplicate PRESENCE and FIDELITY. If you feel the same, then place your bids and good luck.
I grade conservatively. Photos and Descriptions are always of actual items.
