Description
Up for bid is a very rare and highly sought after record album from 1960, "Makin' The Changes". On three of the selections Jackie McLean is playing with a sextet and on the other three selections a quartet. The record album includes personnel that reads like a "who's who" in the world of jazz. The personnel include Curtis Fuller, Webster Young, Gil Coggins, Paul Chambers, Louis Hayes, Mal Waldron, Arthur Phipps and Arthur Taylor. I must point out that I heard a very slight skip at the beginning of the tune "I Hear a Rhapsody" when Jackie is playing by himself. Other than this, the record is very conservatively VG++. I heard no other imperfections on the record. All of the other selections are outstanding. Even the selection " I Hear a Rhapsody" is beautiful except for that slight skip. The cover is in VG+ condition conservatively. There are small tears in the bottom left corner and top right corner. The colors of the cover are vibrant and it has not lost its sheen. I am offering this record album at a very reasonable price to see if there is any interest since it is such a rare album and the music is just magnificent.
