JACKSON HEIGHTS, ‘THE FIFTH AVENUE BUS’ ORIGINAL AND RARE 1972 UK ‘VERTIGO’ STEREO LP 6360 067.
Jackson Heights were an English rock band, led by bassist and vocalist Lee Jackson, that ran from 1970 to 1973. Other players included Brian Chatton (born Brian Charles Chatton, 19 July 1948, Bolton, Lancashire) and John McBurnie, both playing keyboards and King Crimson drummers Michael Giles and Ian Wallace. Keith Joseph Anthony Jackson, nicknamed Lee to avoid all confusion with Keith Emerson, played bass with Gary Farr & The T-Bones, with member Keith Emerson on organ.
Both Vertigo record labels are in superb undamaged Mint Minus condition, beautiful, bright, clean and undamaged record labels with just signs of a couple of play’s to the centre of each label.
The stampers side A, 6360067 1Y 1 11, side B, 6360067 2Y 1112.
Both sides of the immaculate Vinyl LP are in superb unmarked Mint Minus condition, beautiful undamaged, clean and bright Vinyl surfaces to both sides, no scuffs, or scratches, and hardly a sign of any hairlines, obviously a very well cared for LP.
The LP play's with a beautiful sound quality from beginning to end with no clicks, no skips, no static background noise, a very smooth and enjoyable sound quality.
The LP comes in it’s original Vertigo Swirl inner bag and is a nice example, no writing, tearing, or seam splits, just light creasing and age toning to the bottom.
And is housed in it’s original gatefold picture sleeve, which is in superb Excellent Plus condition. The front of the sleeve features opening doors on the front of the bus, these doors have never been opened and are undamaged. All colours are unfaded, with just a couple of corner bumps.
The inner gatefold part of the sleeve is super clean and undamaged Excellent Plus condition, all images and printed text are unfaded.
The reverse panel of the sleeve is also very clean with a light crease and mild signs of record storage. The spine edge and other edges are free from splits, with light rubbing to the bottom edge.
This is a very nice example of this mega rare and obscure 1972 Jackson Heights Vertigo album.
