Martin Davorin Jagodic "Tempo furioso" LP issued by Cramps Records (CRSLP 6108) for the Nova Musicha series (No. 8) in Italy, 1975. Gatefold sleeve. ****** Rec.ex / Cov:ex ****** Original first press of this experimental music masterpiece! Davorin-Jagodic was a Yugoslavic/Croatian composer who has realized this great Cramps LP featuring some creepy, sometimes droning, electronic musique concrete and is one of all time favorites from Cramps. Not strange it was included on the Nurse With Wound list of influences. Should make fans of musique concrete (especially the early stuff) very happy. Neat stuff to say the least...well, I am really fond of the second generation of musique concrete artists. Of course, the GRM sound as defined by Parmegiani & Co, but i often find the work of practitioners outside of this scene were equally as compelling. Stockhausen meets Luc Ferrari with a hint of Xenakis. This breaks all the rules and invents new cross-genre concoctions, atmospheric to wild to totally perplexing! The Italian record label Cramps seemed to have been at the right time, in the right place by way of putting out a number of striking avant-garde records which remain to this day as singular and for me at least, totally inspiring.
