Description

  • Ethnic Folkways Records FTS 31313, this is a vintage US vinyl pressing - NOT a recent reissue - of the hard to find "Jamaican Cult Music" LP as recorded in Kingston by George Eaton Simpson. Featuring everything from revivalism & Cumina Drumming to 'John Canoe' & Ras Tafari, these recording capture the spirits bubbling in Kingston Jamaica circa 1953. Jacket is EX (excellent), showing some color loss at upper left corner where it appears an old sticker was torn away. Vinyl is a shiny and clean NM/NM-, showing at most some minor paper marks. Playback is solid throughout, while labels are crisp with no spindle wear. Original liner note booklet is also included in excellent condition.
