Description
Up for auction is a nice, clean copy of the rare James Brown album "The Popcorn" originally released on King Records (KSD 1055) in 1969. This is a guaranteed, original first U.S. pressing, not a cheap reissue like most for sale on eBay.
-No UPC/bar code
-Super heavy, inflexible vinyl
-Paste-down rear cover
Condition:
Cover is in very nice condition, with only a few signs of previous wear and handling. No ring wear, no seam splits, no writing. Shows some minor wear on some of the seams. Back cover looks generally clean and bone white, as it should be. Just a couple light moisture spots on right edge and lower right corner. Minor age foxing along left edge. Otherwise, a very well-preserved example. Grade the cover Excellent (EX).
The vinyl record is also in very nice condition, retains its original shine and luster. No scratches, no scuffs, no marks around the spindle holes, indicating very little previous play. I've owned this record for 30 years and played it maybe once, then archived it. Very well-preserved and clean. Grade the vinyl Near Mint (NM).
