Description

Hi, great popcorn soul sounds here by Jamie Horton. Includes When it comes to love b/w Yes, I'll be your girl on  JOY Records (45V-252).
Rare Original Promo / White Label Demo from 1961. Gayla Peevey, aka Jamie Horton made a few 45s for columbia in the mid- to late '50s and switched to Joy records and also changed her name. She made a few other great ones on JOY, 'Just So So,' 'Where's My Love,' (Anka) and another one in '62 arranged and conducted by Jack Nitzsche.
Both sides on this 45 are written by her.
This wonderful gem was arranged by HB Barnum of his RCA-victor, Capitol and David Axelrod fame. Barnum is a fantastic arranger, love his work with Dora Hall, Spanky Wilson, Dave Axelrod, O'jays, Henry Cain, Lou Rawls and Jerry Butler.

Condition of record: NM  Has excellent gloss, sounds very good. Looks barely played.

Sounds excellent with light background noise and pops on intros heard at loud volumes on my Panasonic home system. Sounds unnoticeable on my SL1200s with Ortofon dj needles. Comes with white sleeve.
Condition of label: NM Excellent condition, clean and label lettering still vibrant.
