JAN CARTER :
" When it was decided to make this E.P. we needed an intimate sounding small group to back the intimate vocal efforts of Jan Carter. Bryce Rohde and his quartet provided just the sound required and so we had it—"Jan Carter meets the Bryce Rohde Quartet"
Jan, just returned from her second tour of the Far East and busily occupied with her many TV commitments, got together with Bryce and chose these attractive and sophisticated titles for the session. 101 In The Shade, originally written for Shirley Bassey by Franz Conde and lan Grant, produces a swinging Latin beat which contrasts beautifully with the delightful melody of Joe Halford's London After Dark. Persuade Me does just what the title suggests and Jan leaves us with a most sincere reading of the Wayne Shanklin tune Blue, Blue, Blue. " .... LINER NOTES
BACK COVER ALSO HAS SMALL INDIVIDUAL B&W PORTRAIT PHOTOS OF THE MUSICIANS
WHY NOT INVEST IN COLLECTABLES ?
POSTAGE : PADDED ENVELOPE + PROTECTIVE PACKING - HAPPY TO COMBINE POSTAGE FOR MULTIPLE PURCHASES
The 45's we are now listing are all from 1 collection. They have been played, by a fastidious collector, but because they have been stored in poly liners / inside their original sleeves, inside another outer bag/sleeve, for the last 40+ years, they are still in amazing condition for their vintage.
