Description

Up for auction is a copy of Save For A Rainy Day by Jan & Dean, released in 1967 on J&D Record Co, cat no JD 101, a mono pressing. I say “released”; this LP was never properly issued, and was effectively a private pressing, distributed by Dean Torrence. Certainly their most psychedelic LP, and probably their rarest too. Includes the sunshine pop classic, “Yellow Balloon”.

Condition: vinyl is glorious: I see no marks on the vinyl, and no spindle trails on the labels. Some edge wear & a couple of inches of splitting on the upper & lower seams, but nothing too serious, and the cover design itself is immaculate. M-/VG+ (vinyl/cover).

My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item in pictured here is the item for sale.
