Description
This is a fine original U.S. quadraphonic pressing copy of the second and final solo LP (not counting archival releases) by Janis Joplin, released in 1972 (the year after the standard stereo release came out). Generally considered her crowning achievement, the record was also a posthumous release, as Joplin died from a heroin overdose two months before it came out. It features her wonderful version of Kris Kristofferson's oft-covered "Me and Bobby McGee." The jacket has light ring, corner, seam, and edge wear -- EX(+). The disc is clean with a few dings and a little light scuffing, and plays with a little light surface noise (M-). The record comes with a quadraphonic “introduction” booklet and the original label inner sleeve.
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
