JANOS STARKER – DVORAK/FAURE – COLUMBIA B/S – SAX 2263
Columbia stereo recording on Blue / Silver label catalogue number SAX 2263. Janos Starker playing Dvorak’s Cello Concerto in B minor, Op.104, and Faure’s Elegie, Op.24, with Walter Susskind conducting the Philharmonia Orchestra.
There is a 1½-cm light inaudible scratch on side1. On side 2 there are 2 long light scratches (each approx.10-cm). On side1 there is a total of 5/6 random light ticks and on side 2 there are 2 loud ticks and about 15 random light ticks. (Ticks on both sides are not on consecutive revolutions and are mainly barely noticeable).
The laminated sleeve has corner and edge wear with record impress on front and rear. There is a 3mm tear on rear. On front is a tiny (3mm) damaged area (? label removal).
