JANOS STARKER Schubert’s Arpeggione & Sonatina Star Records X04 NM RARE
Star Records catalog number X04, the great Janos Starker plays Schubert, accompanied by pianists Shuku Iwasaki for the Arpeggione Sonata in A Minor and Shigeo Neriki for the Sonatina in D Major. The Arpeggione was recorded for Victor Japanin 1970, the Sonatina in 1978 for Nippon Columbia. Interesting liners from Starker on the unusual nature of the compositions, neither originally meant for the cello. This LP was sealed, opened for a needle-drop recording, cleaned on a Klaudio ultrasonic machine. All is NM. Bid with confidence.
