NOW ON TO A FEW DAYS OF CARIBBEAN MUSIC 45s - BARBADOS SPOUGE AND TRINIDAD CALYPSO AND COMBOS - This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL MID-1960s ERA Joevan Records Trinidad press 45 RPM record containing the Trinidad instrumental guitar combo tunes titled 'Teo'/'Softly As In A Morning Sunrise' from Jarvo Bros. Combo. It is Joevan Records Trinidad catalog number JV-020, and is a GUARANTEED 1960s-ERA ORIGINAL, NOT A 'REPRO' REPRODUCTION AND NOT A 1970s ERA 'COLLECTORS PRESSING'!! Both sides of this record are nice guitar combo arrangements with a lilting Caribbean beat and rhythm accompaniment with bongos. Condition of record is conservatively VG with a moderate to fair amount of light surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play, and a couple of surface scratches which can be felt and which will cause some ticks, no skips. Record also has a slight slow warp which has absolutely no effect on play. Record plays through very nicely with some light surface noise and the aforementioned ticks. Both labels have some contact wear as can be seen in my accompanying image, no other real flaws. This rare 45 would make a choice addition to any Trinidad combo or Caribbean music record collection!
