Up for sale is a stunning, collector-grade copy of the legendary audiophile demonstration album, “Jazz at the Pawnshop”. This is the highly coveted, true 1977 Swedish first pressing—verified by the original "Grammoplast" dead wax etching and the text-only inner gatefold artwork.

Condition Report

Vinyl Condition: Excellent (EX / VG++)

  • Both discs retain their beautiful, high-gloss original factory sheen.
  • Flaw: Disc #1 has raised spot or bump left on the edge of a vinyl record commonly called “flash”, a flaw from the manufacturing process (see last three photos). The bump is located where the needle lands to start the record and it causes the tonearm to quickly jump inward. The flash is located on the very edge before the music begins, so if you place the tone arm down after the flash but before the music, there is no issue. This record set would grade at Near Mjnt without the flash. It has been graded at Excellent and priced accordingly because of the flash.
  • Other than the flashing record #1 mentioned above, both records play beautifully, cleanly, and dynamically with full acoustic presence.

Jacket Condition: Excellent (EX / VG++)

  • True 1st state textured gatefold jacket featuring the original Jonas Englund club illustration.
  • No live performance photos on the inside (confirming the rarest first-issue layout).
  • Extremely crisp, sturdy spine with minimal shelf wear. Corner wear as shown.
  • No seam splits, no ring wear, no writing,
  • Light brown foxing spots on inside as shown.
