Description

Here’s a rare early jazz Edison Diamond Disc, number 51438. Songs are “Battleship Kate” by Wilbur Sweatman’s Brownies and “My Mammy’s Blues” by the Georgia Melodians. This is Wilbur Sweatman’s only recording for Edison, and it’s in fantastic condition, probably a 9.5 out of 10. No scratches, full gloss, no bad grooves, very nice playing surface. A tiny bit of lifting at the bottom edge of the “L” side label and a few spindle marks are the worst thing I can find here. Very nice copy! Drop me a message if ebay doesn’t calculate shipping for you. California residents add 8.225% tax. Happy bidding!!
