Original 1950s two-10" LP boxed set entitled, "The Jazz Scene."  This is on the Clef label and it does not have a catalog number.  The 'deep grooved' labels are black with gold print and have the 'trumpeter' logo.  This set was recorded and produced by Norman Granz and intended to spotlight some of the finest artists the label had at the time.  The two vinyls are in very clean, good to very good condition, with full gloss but also a few small feeler scratches on each side.  All four labels are perfect, with no spindle marks on any.  The box is in VG condition.  It displays nicely with minimal age/storage wear.  The top portion is almost completely detached from the bottom, but it is still fully intact.  There are liner notes by Norman Granz on the inside of the top lid.  I think this originally came with an insert leaflet, but that is missing.  Performers on this set are:  Neal Heft & Charlie Parker; Lester Young; Machito & Flip Phillips; Ralph Burns; Willie Smith; Duke Ellington (two different cuts); George Handy; Bud Powell; Charlie Parker; Neal Hefti; and Coleman Hawkins.   Please review the photo.

INTERNATIONAL (all non-U.S.) BUYERS:   Payment must be by PAYPAL ONLY....I will not accept any other form of payment from buyers located outside the United States. First Class Mail is the cheapest method of international shipping that I offer for LP records; but please be aware there is NO WAY to track these packages once they leave my hands. If you want tracking information, you need to upgrade to Regular Priority Mail or Registered Mail.  I do sometimes require more expensive purchases be sent by Registered Mail to certain locations. The registered fee is listed as “Other” under shipping prices ($26.00 for up to four LP records in a single mailer). Please email me before bidding if you are unsure.

I am always happy to offer combined shipping for ALL BUYERS for up to one week from the closing date of the initial purchase. Please do not expect me to hold items for 2 or 3 weeks (or even more) while additional bids are placed. Please try to be considerate of this request when bidding on multiple items on different dates. Combined shipping rates are as follows:

Combined shipping for U.S. BUYERS:  I can ship up to four single LP records for a flat $4.00 Media Mail fee (allow 10 to 14 business days for delivery). Above four records, a new mailer will need to be started at the base shipping price.  Double LPs and other types of multiple-record sets do not count as single LPs. If you need faster shipping, please upgrade to Priority Mail.

Combined shipping for CANADIAN BUYERS:  First LP is $7.00 (First Class Mail International).  Add $1.00 per additional LP up to four. Above four records, a new mailer will need to be started at the base shipping price.  Double LPs and other types of multiple-record sets do not count as single LPs. 

Combined shipping for all other INTERNATIONAL BUYERS:  First LP is $14.00 (First Class Mail International).  Two LPs shipped together is $16.00.  Three LPs shipped together is $20.00.  Four LPs shipped together is $24.00. Above four records, a new mailer will need to be started at the base shipping price.  Double LPs and other types of multiple-record sets do not count as single LPs.
