Description
I've been collecting vinyl records for the past 9 years and have decided to put many of them up for sale over the next 6 weeks. Most are highly collectible and with few exceptions, were purchased new and never played.
Extreme care was taken to preserve their integrity. The plastic wrapping that albums get shipped in was removed as to reduce or prevent ring-ware on the outer sleeve. The records were then placed in a high-quality Classic Records' inner-sleeve and placed behind the outer sleeve at which point both were inserted into a 6mm protective sleeve (see pic). This method allows the records to be easily removed without having to tamper with the original inner/outer sleeves thus preventing seam splits and greatly minimizing normal handling ware. These were then stored in a record rack with ample room in a clean, smokeless and otherwise odorless, temperature controlled room.
As with any record, mine could likely benefit from a professional cleaning to bring out their full sonic capabilities (http://bit.ly/LPcleaning). I never did this because I lacked a system to play them on. That being said, they may arrive with some minor fingerprints, dust and/or markings simply from the manufacturing process, storage and/or handling. The lucky owner should administer their own cleaning technique to take them one step closer to analog excellence. Even so, I will try to be as descriptive as possible with each listing.
DESCRIPTION
- Up for your consideration is my prized copy of Jeff Buckley's "Grace" LP and 7" single "Forget Her" B/W "Strawberry Street" on super cool blue vinyl.
- Sleeve is in great shape with solid corners, crisp spine, and only a hint of ring-ware. There is the beginnings of a seem split on the top that's about 1.5" but is just superficial at this point. I would rate it as being in "excellent plus" condition. 7" single sleeve is in "mint" condition. The LP was played ONCE and looks fantastic earning a solid "mint-minus" rating. 7" single has NEVER been played and is in "mint" condition...:)

Just to clarify, this is the Simply Vinyl 180 gram audiophile version (SVLP 077). The matrix numbers on the run out groove are "OS 45863 20 1A1 SVLP 077." The only thing missing is the original Simply Vinyl plastic sleeve. The original insert is also included.
