Description
JEFFERSON AIRPLANE - 'CROWN OF CREATION'. MONO. UK RCA Victor. RD-7976 (1968).
Fantastic 1968 MONO first UK press copy in top EX+ condition. Hardly ever seen. The MONO mix is amazing, especially Jack Cassady's Bass lines - they pack incredible punch and presence completely lacking in the CD version. Inspired USA psych - in my opinion their greatest album - a top ten disc.
First UK mono pressing on the black/silver 'red spot' RCA Victor labels.
Front laminated sleeve grades full EX to EX+ condition. EX to EX+ vinyl!
Crisp front laminated sleeve with pinched edges at each end of the spine. No discolouration, just light wear in places. Fully intact and legible spine (see photos). This sleeve has escaped the rigors of time and shows only very light storage and handling wear. Some very minor laminate creasing in places (no bends). Some very, very light surface marks on the vinyl and noise in quieter places, but the MONO mix cuts through superbly. Super rare and gorgeous copy in rarely found EX-EX+ condition.

The time has come for me to start selling off big chunks of my otherwise 'keeper' collection. Some of these records are incredibly hard to find in such superb condition. The records in my eBay listings are from my own personal record collection. I am not a record dealer. Some particular records I have bought two or three times over - just to get that special 'keeper' copy. These listings are the fruits of my collecting effort which spans over 25 years.
In the very rare event that you are disappointed, I will accept returns if items are not as described and issue a full refund (minus your return postage costs).
PayPal ONLY PLEASE. Items selling over £38.00 will be insured and sent by Special Delivery and/or Registered Post with insurance. £7.00 for UK, and £14.00 for Rest of the World. If postage is significantly less than quoted I will refund any difference.
Regarding postage and shipping: I am not Amazon.com. I go to the post office once or possibly twice a week. During the holidays it will be increasingly painful, so be patient. "Priority mail" means it goes by air...it does not mean it goes out in the next hour. I have never had a package lost and have never had any complaints about packing - in fact my packaging rates among the best on eBay. I use cruciform mailers (usually doubled-up) and loads of parcel tape to ensure a strong package.
Please read my checkout instructions. Please wait for my invoice before paying, as postage to different global locations can vary. Full refund given (minus return postage) if item is not as described.
STRICTLY GRADED. (Play graded, and visually graded to Record Collector standards).
Any questions please email...
I have no need to use the words MEGA, ULTRA, or c**p on about how many of these LPs got trashed at parties. I try to avoid exhaustive usage of exclamation marks in my honest descriptions and I also avoid the over-use of CAPITAL letters (unless they are used for relevant emphasis to my auction description) and I do not wish to shout at my buyers. I know that you know about the records you wish to purchase. One other thing - I do not sell items which have had the opening edges of the cover trimmed by a guillotine or blade to make the covers appear in better condition. Some other sellers do this as a regular practice, and it's just not on.
