Their wonderful 4th album..

The songs are strong (if a little bleak lyrically!)..The band are in top form (especially Casady!) and the vocals superb..(Especially Grace Slick on "Greasy Heart" which must be one of her finest performances!)..

This is the original MONO issue from 1968 on the black RCA label..(RD 7976)..UK pressing..

It is a first press with 2U/1U mothers and stampers (This shows that it was actually pressed by Decca!)..The matrix numbers are:WPRM 0547 2K and WPRM 0548 2K..

Play grade on this is EX minus..There is ONE tiny pop at the beginning of "Triad"..There are no other clicks or pops and overall, the sound is bright, clean and undistorted..It just bursts out of the speakers!..Crackle?..Absolute minimal and hardly worth mentioning!..This disc plays REALLY well..

It plays flat on the deck with no edge warps..It does not stick or jump..

Visual grade is EX minus as there are a few light paper scuffs..There are no nasty scratches, scuffs or other marks and the disc still has a real nice sheen..

The labels are undamaged but there is visible spindle wear..This has had regular but careful play and probably on top end equipment..

The sleeve grades as EX minus..(I have done 2 sets of pictures of the sleeve, the first on the scanner and the second outside in daylight)..

It's a front laminated sleeve (with the laminate going around the spine)..The front has a couple of corner creases bottom left and a few light laminate creases along the spine....The back has some discshape, but there are no serious defects or damage..

It has no seam splits, rips, tears, scribble, sellotape or tape marks...All the text on the spine is clearly legible..There is minimal edge rubbing and the colours are bright and unfaded..

UK buyers are welcome to collect this in person or collect it from The Southend Record Fair (8th April,13th May.)..where there are LOADS of great albums and singles offered for sale...NEW VENUE for this fair is West Leigh Schools on the A13..SS9 2JB..

Check it out on Facebook (Southendrecord).

EEC and Russia!! :£4.00...

There are delays on post going INTO the USA due to an increased scanning of packages at US Customs (Anti terrorist measures,I believe)..Parcels ARE being delayed and delivery may take a MONTH!!..

The Russian Federation is also having delays on deliveries ..This is due to the sheer volume of parcels going into the Federation..Again,expect delays!.
