If you can be reassured by one thing it's the fact Jello Biafra is still doing his thing, returning here with band The Guantanamo School of Medicine, which he put together in 2009 and named at least in part as a response to the notoriety US prison complex Guantanamo Bay had earned for its role in the War On Terror. Politicisation that should surprised nobody, given Biafra's previous group, pre-solo years, was Dead Kennedy's.
Here things are just as timelessly pointed in terms of content - Tea Party Revenge Porn nodding to the now outmoded (or out-alt-righted) Tea Party movement that resurfaced in the pre-Trump 2010s. The soundtrack matches for longevity, hitting us hard with full-throttle riffs, anthem-making choruses and wailing solos, not to mention typically on-point songwriting that's determined to turn a mirror on all parts of society. A record that puts emphasis on the heavy in heavy metal.
