JERRY LEE LEWIS, Whole Lotta' Shakin, UK LONDON DEMO
Jerry Lee Lewis, Whole Lotta' Shakin' Goin' On.
1957 UK London Records one-sided DEMO 7" housed in company sleeve, DJS 8457.Vinyl in generally very clean condition, a strong VG. Little evidence of spider trail marks around the spindle areas, and vinyl surfaces still have a bright gloss. Surfaces are mostly free of marks. The A side has two visible superficial hairline scuffs, and one other small mark near the beginning which is slightly deeper, but still not a really deep or embedded scratch. The B side has a similarly good gloss, although displays a few visible scuff marks near the beginning. This side is grooved but plays only a test tone, so quality of playback is not really an issue.
Playback of the A side is very clean and bright, and the surfaces do not have underlying background noise or crackle. There are a few extremely soft consecutive ticks at the beginning, and the odd isolated light tick elsewhere, but these are never at a volume loud enough to seriously detract from listening pleasure. Noticeably the section towards the end, where Jerry brings the volume down, plays nice and cleanly.
Labels are clean and unmarked both sides. The B side label is plain black.
Sleeve is clean and unmarked, but with light overall creasing.

Just realised that I have entered the wrong catalogue number for this item, it is of course the demo of the UK London issue HLS 8457. The number quoted in the description is wrong, but I cannot change this now as the item has bids!
